Our Favorite Restaurants
There is a fairly high turnover of restaurants in resort communities like Breckenridge. Below are a few that have stood the test of time and we visit these regularly when we are in Breck.
CASUAL DINING
Giampetro is our favorite restaurant in Breck. It'a tiny authentic Italian Bistro, that is very reasonable and casual. They have great pizza, huge calzones, and excellent entrees. Because they are so small, get there early or plan on a wait for your table. Located on the corner of Main and Lincoln.
FINE DINING
We love the Hearthstone for a fine meal. They always have delicious meals and great service. We haven't had a bad experience yet. Be sure to make reservations at either place and try to get a table by the window. Briar Rose is very good too.
TAKE OUT / DELIVERY
There aren't many delivery places, but if want some decent bar food and pizza, try Northside Pizza.
A SHORT WALK AWAY (Everything is walkable, but these are the best "really close" places)
Mi Casa is a Mexican Restaurant with a comfortable dinning area as well as a bar area to catch the game and a margarita. Breckenridge Brewery, Empire Burger, and Quandary Bar & Grill are all good too.
BREAKFAST
The Blue Moose, has the best breakfast close by, but Daylight Donuts is THE local favorite (ours too).
COFFEE
You can walk to a nice little coffee shop on Main Street (in front of the Hyatt) called Coffee Depot. This is very convenient if you don’t have any coffee to brew in the Condo. If you're like us, good java is key before a big day of skiing (or anything else for that matter)! We encourage local support, so skip the Starbucks and check out Coffee Depot or stop at Clint's Bakery. They also do good coffee, ice cream, baked goods and sandwiches (located on North Main).

Lift Tickets & Gear Rental
Gear Rentals
Charter Sports - Marriot 970-353-4494 is on the back side of the Marriot Hotel (which is across the street) between the condo and the lift. We will be giving you a coupon for rentals here after you book with us.
Christy Sports - Main Street Station 970-547-5954 Walk past the Marriot's outdoor pool - you will see them right in front of you, across from the Quanrdy Grill.
Lift Tickets
Breckenridge Ski Resort will offer you discount if you purchase online 7 days in advance or more. This is the only place to get lift tickets. No discount outlets are available anymore. If your planning ahead and you will be skiing 7 days or more your best bet is a season pass. Buying your lift tickets, the same day, at the ticket window will be your most expensive option - try to plan ahead.
Ski School / Lessons / Day Care
We are located very close to the "Village Base Area" on Peak 9, which offers the full line of ski school services for adults and children as young as 3 years old. For all the programs, rates and reservations visit the Breckenridge Ski School Website. We highly recommend lessons for all ages and skill levels. It will really help you make the most of your time on the slopes and rapidly accelerate your learning curve.

Ground Transportation
You don't really "NEED" a car when you stay at Snodallion 23 in Breckenridge. You can take a shuttle from the airport or rent a car. You just need to decide which is more cost effective based on number of people, length of stay, flight times, etc. If you don't rent a car, once you get to Breck the Summit Freeride bus system can take you anywhere in summit county you need to go, for free. The only place that isn't an "easy" walk is to the big City Market grocery store. There is a smaller grocery closer to the condo, but it's a bit more expensive and has less selection.
Car Rentals
I don't have a specific recommendation other than to find the cheapest rental car you can find. It seems we use a different company everytime we travel. We usually reserve a small car online, then sign up for their "Special Club" membership. That usually allows us to upgrade at the airport for much less than it would have cost to book a larger vehicle to start with. No you don't need 4-wheel drive. I do recommend front wheel drive though. Beware, rental companies will "hard sell" the 4x4 upgrade when you arrive.
Local Transportation
Breckenridge Free Ride is the local, in town, FREE bus system.
Summit Stage is the Summit County's FREE bus system.
Both bus systems connect to each other to create a nice system to get just about anywhere in Summit County.
Airport Shuttle
The main shuttle service from DIA to Breck is Colorado Mountain Express. It's about $140 round trip per person, but there are discounts for multiple people. Private shuttles are also available.
